Our Mission:

To pave the way to financial freedom through simple and accessible financial wellness education.

“I found the seminar clear and helpful, as Brad took the time to boil down terminology and definitions into easy-to-understand segments. ”

“I walked away feeling as though I had a solid understanding of the different retirement account types, but I decided to sign up for an individual session to walk through my individual situation and make sure my takeaways aligned with best practices for someone my age.
In the session, we talked through my specific scenario including my short and long-term financial goals, salary and expected growth, and my tax position. The session felt collaborative - he wasn’t just telling me what to do and I had to take it at face value, but rather, we talked through the different options and found the best path for me together.”

“Thank you for being so kind and understanding, a patient listener, and a fantastic teacher.”

Brad, thank you for all the time spent helping ARUP employees better understand their finances, their “money story,” and how to think through critical financial decisions in life. You are worth more than your weight in gold! More often than not, people who are not as savvy at finances are embarrassed to talk about it with anyone and prolong gaining a better understanding because of those feelings. Thank you for being so kind and understanding, a patient listener, and a fantastic teacher.

How it all started

Brad’s passion for service and working to positively affect the lives of others guided him into the financial services industry. He began his career in 2003 with Northwestern Mutual in the greater Los Angeles area.

Committed to furthering his education, Brad has passed exams for Series 6, 63, 66, and 7 licenses. In addition, he has achieved the CLU® Chartered Life Underwriter designation, making him knowledgeable in the various insurances. Brad has also received the AIF® Accredited Investment Fiduciary designation for adhering to the highest fiduciary standards in addition to the CLTC® Certification in Long-Term Care designation.

During his 20+ years in business helping clients with their holistic financial plans, Brad realized people were asking the same questions and expressing the same concerns again and again. Many of these stemmed from a lack of financial education or confusion over industry jargon. These recurring frustrations inspired him to create Simplified Financial Concepts to make financial literacy education accessible and understandable for all.

Brad grew up in Los Angeles and attended Loyola High School. He earned his B.A. in business from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. Currently, Brad lives in Denver with his wife Monica and their 3 rescue dogs; Waffles, Sawyer, and Guppy the Puppy.

In his off hours, Brad is a passionate wood-turner and can be found at all hours in his woodshop making bowls, charcuterie boards and pens. He looks forward to ski season all year and enjoys everything that Colorado’s beautiful outdoors has to offer.
